ÍDEM 2020 arranca con un encuentro entre la artista zimbabuense nora chipaumire y la comisaria del festival Marisa Lull. nora chipaumire inauguró la última edición y en esta ocasión nos acompaña para abrir estos encuentros entre artistas dentro del eje pasado, presente y futuro y lo cerrará con un encuentro con el director escénico suizo Milo Rau.
A lo largo de la conversación, la artista hablará de cómo fue su experiencia durante el confinamiento, que vivió en Nueva York coincidiendo con las protestas del movimiento #blacklivesmatter. También compartirá sus ideas sobre el diálogo pendiente entre Europa y África y hablará de su proyecto Nakha, consistente en la cartografía del cuerpo animista y la presencia radical africana negra. Además, compartirá los avances de sus últimos trabajos como su proyecto en proceso de creación: la ópera The Queen vs. Nehanda.

IDEM 2020 kicks off with a conversation between Zimbabwean artist nora chipaumire and festival curator Marisa Lull. nora chipaumire opened the last edition, and this time she joins us to launch this series of artist talks centered on the themes of past, present, and future; she will close the series with a conversation with Swiss theater director Milo Rau.
Throughout the conversation, the artist will discuss her experience during the lockdown, which she spent in New York amid the #BlackLivesMatter protests. She will also share her thoughts on the ongoing dialogue between Europe and Africa and discuss her project *Nhaka*, which involves mapping the animist body and the radical Black African presence. In addition, she will share updates on her latest works, including her work-in-progress: the opera *The Queen vs. Nehanda*.
Following the discussion with curator Marisa Lull, we will watch the video created by Ari Marcoupoulus about her performance *#PUNK* and listen to the playlist she has curated for the ÍDEM festival on this same project.
